Echoes of Skótos is a Boss shooter style game with a story inspired by the Black Forest theory. The game is in the early stages of development, and is just a prototype. Please feel free to make suggestions. I’m making the game on a PC with a 2nd generation i3 without a graphics card, so if you see any future in this project I’m open to donations 😅 the gameplay will be highly improved

The year is 5782, and humanity has managed to evolve significantly technologically, creating a very powerful artificial material called Aetherium, capable of storing absurd amounts of energy, and bending space-time. With this, they can travel through the vast universe. Until then, an advanced intelligence base on Earth detects a mysterious signal coming from a very distant galaxy, called Skótos. It is named this because it is extremely dark and mysterious, the signal was like a distress call. The government, intrigued, launches a daring expedition to the Skótos galaxy. You are a crew member of the ship, and you go to Skótos to find out more about the signal. During the journey, your crew receives a strange signal that is translated as 'Dan-g3r- Tr@P-0 hUnT3rS",  the crew is apprehensive, but out of curiosity they continue, after all, it could be a great discovery for humanity. As you and your crew approach the center of the signal, the horizon around begins to distort, turning into the worst of nightmares. Skórgons, hideous and intelligent alien beasts, that just imagining them causes fear and terror. Their ferocity is so great, that your crew is decimated. However, you manage to quickly run and hide in the captain's room of the ship, a safe place. You are scared, terrified, with the echoes of the screams of your companions being attacked by those unimaginably scary beings. However, a spark of hope begins to appear in your mind, an escape ship, which would take you directly to your base on Earth. You sneak out of the room, still terrified by the image of the beasts. Taking extreme care, you get to the ship. However, you realize that the 3 Aetherium batteries needed to activate the ship were consumed by the Skórgons, who feed on energy. You return to the Captain's room. There, you find a rifle that fires powerful Aetherium projectiles. You are still scared, but you know, that the only way to escape this cursed place, is by getting the 3 Aetherium batteries, even if that means facing those horrendous monsters. The batteries were consumed by the 3 alphas of the group, who are very strong. Full of courage, you grab the rifle, and prepare yourself. You know you need to honor the memories of those voices that still echo in your head.
